Snow Day - 2013

February has been - by all accounts - very snowy here in Elmhurst.  With a mostly snow-free winter, we here in the Parrillo house welcomed the white stuff. While Ellie is an old pro ( see snow post from 2 years ago here !), this was SD's first chance to get out and enjoy the powder.  After a bit of acclimation, Sadie learned to like sitting in the snow.  Just took a quick lesson from her sister to show her how tasty snow can be (and soothing on those teeth!). Big thanks to Aunt 'kee-kee for keeping Sadie warm! The snow was pretty good packing snow, so I gave Ellie a hand in building a snowman in the backyard.

Eloise the Artist

Eloise can't get enough of markers, crayons, pens and pencils.  As long as we're talking about coloring princesses, she's all over it.

Sadie at Eight Months

Sadie crept closer to her first birthday with a month full of eating real food and most importantly - a new mouth full of (some) teeth. The photos in the slideshow show a snapshot of life with an eight-month-old.  Happy one minute.  Wincing in pain from teething the next! You can see that Sadie is getting around pretty good with army crawling/crawling and is sitting up on her own.  She's not quite standing yet.  But...getting there. Here's Ellie at eight months for comparison .   If you are reading this in your email and can't see the slideshow below, click here to see the photos back on the site .

Sadie's Good Hair Day

Not many eight month olds have heads of hair like this one, eh?

Sledding With Cousins

Ellie met some of her cousins out on the sled hill at Eldridge Park in South Elmhurst yesterday and could not have had more fun.  I had to literally drag her to the car because she didn't want to leave.  Who knew she was such a speed demon?!?
