The Parrillo Family

Frankie has picked up A LOT of new tricks in just the past month.  He's now sitting up by himself, pulling himself all around the floor and even crawling a bit.  He's spending meals in his high chair eating real food!  He has one little tooth poking through and more on the way.   He's all boy but he LOVES his Momma.  He smiles when she enters the room and moans when she leaves!  Topper's two sisters can't get enough of him.  Ellie loves to try to make him laugh and in the car, she sits behind him in so they get plenty of face-time. All three kids - and their cousin - got in on celebrating birthdays this month with both Grammy and Granddad.  If one party is fun, two are better!

We're pretty fortunate that Thomas Francis and his bestie cousin get to spend a lot of time together.  And, we've been down this path before with Ellie and her cousin who lives down the block.  These two boys were born about a month apart and Ellie and Vic and Marc's youngest were just a few months apart.  They've grown up together and because of proximity and time - let alone family - they've become strong friends. I know I never got all that close to my cousins when I was younger, but I sure hope that Topper grows close to his buddy and that these two stay friends for life.  Nothing would make me happier than to see these two - like I've seen with my sisters kids - stay tight even though they lead independent lives.

Feels like yesterday when we took this photo of Eloise going to her first day of Pre-Kindergarten back in August of 2014 . It isn't just the haircut that has changed with this girl!  She's grown up so much and learned so much during her year with Mrs. Estes. Last week, Eloise stepped out of Pre-K for the final time.  This fall, she'll be going to the real thing:  kindergarten. Nat and I are constantly amazed at the things she knows and talks about and are so proud of her each and every day. Ellie tells me that she's super excited for summer and can't wait to: "go to the pool, eat popsicles, and ride her bike". Sounds like a great summer, indeed.

Earlier this Spring, we were lucky enough to head back to Disney World for a trip to see the Parks with a few of the kids cousins.  We were also pretty lucky to be joined by Noonie! This was Frankie's first trip to see The Mouse, but Eloise is now acquainted with Disney.  This marked her (gasp!) fifth time to Disney World in her five short years.  (Don't judge us!).  Sadie has been four time, but the first one she was just a few months old! This trip was special because we were able have the girls share the trip with Noonie who took them around the parks, paid special attention to each of them and spoiled them rotten with various treats!
