This year, both Nat and I as well as the kids participated in our school's annual 5K and Kids 1 mile run. St Mary's of Gostyn hosts a nice neighborhood 5K that I ran (slowly) while Nat served as a course marshall/volunteer. But they also have a run for the kids in the school. It is a 1 mile run - which is far for most of the kids, but especially the young ones like SD. In the photo above, you can see her in there amongst her friends and classmates before the race. Sadie ran the race and so did Ellie. Frankie wanted to, but a mile is pretty far! So...Nat got creative and positioned him behind the starting line and let him run for a bit through the big 'gate'.
