The Parrillo Family

The floors are done!  You can see that the counters aren't in yet.  That didn't stop the three kids from doing some ballroom dancing in the kitchen. You'll remember that we bought this house/lot back in July of last year .  In March, the siding was done .  Less than one year later and we're *almost* done.  Looking for more real-time updates?   Follow along with Natalie on @NewOldFarmhouse on Instagram . It was just back in January that I took the Big Beef to get his first haircut at the barber shop.   That post and photos are here .  He loved it!  Mostly because of the lollipops and toys and shows! But time marches on and he had been rockin' a lot of salad recently.  So, off we went to get another trim.  Nat sent me with a photo and what you see is the barber's take on that very photo. Here's the before: Here's the during: And...here's the after.  What a cool dude! He aged like 6 years in 15 minutes, didn't he?

We bundled up (it was very cold!) and went out to see the Kane County Cougars game.  The tickets were a reward given to Eloise for completing a reading program at St. Mary's this year in 1st grade.  She earned those tickets and the weather wasn't going to stop her from making sure she could bring her Mom/Dad and siblings out to see a game that SHE EARNED.  I was happy for her and only wish we could have had slightly better weather! While this is the kid's FIRST Kane County Cougars minor league baseball game, this is NOT the first time Eloise and Sadie were at this ballpark.   All the way back in July of 2012, we brought the kids to see our favorite band Wilco who played at the ballpark .  Look how tiny SD was back then!
