Goldie Visits The Kids Again This Year - 2015

Just like in year's past, our little Elf on the Shelf named Goldie found his way into our home this season and the girls (and Frankie, too!) loved searching for him every morning and discovering what kind of shenanigans he has gotten himself into. Here's a post showing all the ways Goldie interacted with our girls during the 2013 Christmas season . And here's a post showing Goldie from the 2012 Christmas season. No post from last year?  What the heck?  We musta had a little baby to tend to instead of posting photos of our elf visitor, amirite? This year, there was some concern about Goldie being able to find us - after all - we had moved down the block out of our house.  Fortunately for the girls (and thanks to Auntie Sharon!), Goldie arrived right as the Christmas Season was kicking off. Enjoy some of the ways he's welcomed Christmas with us: Goldie arrived on an airplane with a scarf and hat to keep him warm in the blizzard! He celebrated St. Nick...

Goldie Came Back: Our 2013 Christmas Season Visitor

Our very own Christmas Elf (Who Ellie named Goldie) came back for another visit this Christmas season. Here's the post chronicling his shenanigans last year . This year, he arrived direct from the North Pole and both girls got in on the action.  Goldie's creativity really shined each morning.  Ellie waited patiently for her sister and then the first things she wanted to do was to go "find Goldie" with her little sister Sadie.   All of Goldie's effort were worth it when both of their faces lit up when they 'found' him each morning upon his return from the North Pole. Ccheck out all the photos in the slideshow below.  If you are reading this on your phone and can NOT see the slideshow, click here to see the photos on the site.

Our 2012 Christmas Season Visitor: Goldie

This year, we had a visitor arrive at our house right after Thanksgiving.  He came to our family without a name and in the "Elf on the Shelf" tradition, after explaining what he was doing here, we asked Ellie what she wanted to name him.  She picked a name that we know from her cousin's fish:  Goldie. Well...with the help of an incredibly creative Momma, an excited Ellie woke up each morning during the Christmas season and went on a little treasure hunt to find her own personal elf Goldie.  Each night, Goldie flew home to the North Pole to report on Ellie and Sadie and how they were doing to Santa.  He came back every morning, but he was always in a different spot. Sometimes Goldie brought a note with news from the Big Guy.  Sometimes he brought Ellie and Sadie a little prize. It was sad to bid him adieu after Christmas, but we know we'll have another elf come back next November for the girls to enjoy. If you're reading this in your inbox and ca...
