Welcome To Granddad's Water Park

Check out the girls enjoying Granddad's 'water park' as they call it. Granddad has - in his typical way - built out the old swingset in their backyard and added this awesome water feature which transforms a regular slide into a water slide complete with landing spot and water canon! Here you can see Ellie is cheering on SD as she races down the slide.  They were both fortunate enough to be able to spend a little bit of time Naperville as we packed up our house and moved down the block.  More on that in a bit!

Frankie Hits The Slip-N-Slide

Frankie took in a backyard right-of-passage by sitting down on our backyard slip-n-slide.  He spent most of the time playing around in the little pool at the end while SD was running back and forth on the rest of it. He's growing up so fast and is taking in everything the world is throwing at him!

At the Elmhurst Fountain With Her Cousins

In Downtown Elmhurst, there's a fountain that attracts kids from all across town.  Eloise has been there a few times now and with each walk past it, she spots it and then grunts and points to indicate to us that she *desperately* wants to go play in the fountain. Yesterday, on the walk home, we ran into Eloise's cousins who were there playing in the water.  Eloise couldn't wait to get unbuckled from her stroller and get wet.  If you watch closely, all three cousins make an appearance. More Summer Fun - Photo Set

While you guys have seen a bunch of the swimsuit photos in a different post, the sprinkler isn't the only way we're getting wet in our backyard.  Eloise Granddad and Grammy bought her a water and sand table earlier this spring and we've been having a lot of fun with it.  Momma made the strategic decision to isolate the water and sand and just use the "water" part of the table to avoid an inevitable mess when the two would combine.
