Disney World for Spring Break With Noonie And Our Cousins

For Spring Break this year, we joined up with the girls cousins and went down to visit Mickey the Mouse at Walt Disney World.  Where else, right?

This was our 11th trip to WDW and while each trip is different, this one was very special because we got to share it with Noonie and our family.  My sisters brought their kids down and we were able to wander around the parks together for a few days.

Having Noonie there was great, not just because she's a big help with our kids, but because we get to see the kid-at-heart come out when we're trying to keep up with her!  My goodness...Noonie is a machine!  She walked every mile with us and rode every ride.  Simply amazing.

Aunt Sharon and G & I were a special treat, too.  We've been to visit Disney World with the Gooz a few times including a trip in 2015 and in 2014 and all the way back in 2012 - when we were total Disney rookies.

This trip, Aunt Linda and Uncle Shaun, along with C & J came along.  So fun to see them interact with our own kids.  Sadie and Eloise have special relationships with both of their cousins from Park Ridge and I love seeing them spend time together in their happy place.

We spent time storming the castle, hanging at the hotel, some folks were Jedi's for the day and we made so  many memories.

Here's way too many photos that show parts of the trip:

On Main Street USA with Noonie.

The Big Beef in the Teacups

Our Room at Bay Lake Tower had a Fireworks View.  Nice!

We met Baymax!  Frank was unimpressed.

Same with Joy and Sadness

A trip to WDW isn't complete with seeing Mickey, right?

And Minnie!

We had plenty of pool time.  Eloise hated it.  Can't you tell?

Eloise at the Studios with her biggest cousin and Noonie

SD got "Jedi Trained".  She loved it.

So did her big Cousin.  He was quite the sport.

Ride photos are the best.  See the boys in front?  And Nat and the girl's cousin in the back?  Hilarious.

Me and the Goozer right before we rode Everest.  I thought I was going to die.

As I mentioned, this was our 11th Walt Disney World trip. Wow.  Each one is, indeed, different.

Here's the other 10 visits to WDW:

2023 - Our Year In Review

Well, hello there.  By now, you've received our holiday card, spotted the url on the back and decided to come check out what's doin' on here.  Before, I get into the Year In Review, I'd like to acknowledge one item and call attention to an omission on our (giant) card.   First, they can't all be 'bangers' as the kids say.    Our Griswold-inspired Paris card last year that was art directed, costumed and created by Nat is pretty hard to beat.  This year, we stuck with the full-family photo on the front, but in a much less funny way.  And, second, the omission.   I was told (by leadership) that there "wasn't room" - on the back of the card - to offer our kind regards to those who celebrate Festivus.  That oversight has been made right with the amended corrected back-side of our card you can see below: Now, on to the 2023 Year in Review for the Parrillos. Milestones and Birthdays We have, somehow, a teenager (8th grade), an 11-year-ol...

2024 - Our Year in Review

Hi there.  By now, you've received our annual Christmas card and were curious enough to come visit this here spot on the Web to see what's doing.  Good news for you:  plenty was 'doin' with the Parrillo family this past year.  But, before we get into our Year in Review, I'd first like call attention to a couple things with our 2024 Christmas card.   While we will always have a hard time topping our Griswold-family-inspired card from 2022 , this year's card includes something novel:  artificial intelligence.   And that's fitting, right?  2024 sure seems like the "Year of AI".   The AI at play here is courtesy of Google Photos and their AI Magic Eraser.  Say goodbye, trampoline in the background.  Replaced with grass and trees.  Magic, indeed. Secondly....related to this year's card, I'd like to acknowledge an omission.  For the second year in a row, I've been told by "Leadership" that there simply isn't room ...

2022 - Our Year In Review

Well...hello there.  2022 was a banner year in the Parrillo household.  We had new experiences.  New growth.  New emotions.  And new fun.  Together as a family.  There's nothing more a guy like me could want:  three strong, independent and kind kids.  And the best leader-of-the-pack in Nat anyone could imagine.   Now...on to that Christmas card.  By now, you've already received it in the mail and that's why you're here.  I'm sure you saw the photo.  And, you either laughed.  Or....wondered what the heck is going on? I'm certain that *some* of you are in on the joke, right?  This was a little moment of joy in 2022 when Nat surprised us all with these embroidered berets right on the spot in Paris this Summer.  What's the inspiration?  None other than Clark and Ellen and family on their trip to Europe in the 1980's. Alright...now with the yucks out of the way, let's talk about 2022.  Despite my b...
